QuasiVNC is a free, remote screen viewer.
| Name: | QuasiVNC v1.0 Beta | | Price: | Freeware | | Size: | 550 KB (1 MB Unzipped) | | OS: | Windows 9x/ME/XP/2000/NT |
Description: QuasiVNC is a free remote computer screen viewer. It was designed as a support tool, to allow the supporter to view the screen of the person he or she is helping. With ordinary VNC software, a port-forwarding / NAT router can complicate direct connections considerably. With QuasiVNC, you won't have to worry about complicated router setups. QuasiVNC works by using a PHP file as a packet relay server of sorts. Thus, the hassle of changing router settings is avoided. All you need is a web server that supports PHP and file uploads. QuasiVNC is not a VNC program per se, as it does not support remote control operations, but only remote viewing. The software consists of two parts. A client (a Windows program) and a server (a PHP script). The "server" is placed on a webserver. The client program is downloaded by the person who wants to broadcast his computer screen. Note: - QuasiVNC is free for non-commercial use only. If you want to use QuasiVNC for commercial purposes please contact me.
- QuasiVNC is currently a beta program. As such, it may still contain bugs or other issues. Use the software entirely at your own risk!

Download: - QuasiVNC Client (Windows): DOWNLOAD (Self-extracting EXE) - QuasiVNC Server (PHP): DOWNLOAD (ZIP-file; Requires a web server with PHP support!) Which file(s) should I download? The client is used to send screenshots and should be download by the person who wants to show another person his or her screen. The server is used to remotely view these screenshots (e.g. an IT-professional).
